Turki Al al-Sheikh wants Jai Opetaia (28-0, 22 KO) to fight Derek Chisora (36-13, 23 KO). This was reported by the manager of the IBF champion in the heavyweight division, Mick Francis, in an interview with FOX Sports.

Francis admitted that he has already consulted with the IBF regarding the possible transition of his boxer to heavyweight and received assurances that if Opetaia moves up in weight class, he will take third place in the heavyweight ranking, where Chisora currently occupies the second position. Initially, Opetaia planned to make a mandatory title defense in November against Huseyin Cinkara (23-0, 19 KO), and then pursue an unification fight in the heavyweight division with Badou Jack or Noel Gevor.
