Top Promoter Reveals Current Champ Who'd Beat Prime Mayweather: "Very Unique Talent"

Mayweather's boxing career is tough to top. He never lost a fight in 21 years as a pro. He beat big names like Canelo Alvarez, Miguel Cotto, Oscar De La Hoya, and Manny Pacquiao. Many people think he's one of the best boxers ever.

But Arum believes Crawford has something special. He told Sean Zittel:

"Crawford. Because Crawford is a unique kind of fighter that other fights haven't seen. The ability he has to switch, fighters aren't used to that. They don't train for that. I just think he is a very, very unique talent."

Crawford, known as 'Bud', has won 41 fights and lost none. He's held world titles in four weight classes and been undisputed champion at super lightweight and welterweight. Even Mayweather has said Crawford is one of the best fighters right now.

The 37-year-old from Omaha will soon face his biggest test. He'll fight Canelo Alvarez for the undisputed super-middleweight championship on September 13 in Las Vegas. Netflix will stream the fight live. It's worth noting that Canelo once fought Mayweather too.

Arum made it clear his opinion isn't because of any special relationship with Crawford. He just thinks Crawford's unique style and ability to switch stances make him that good.

The boxing world always talks about who's the greatest. Arum's words will surely add fuel to those discussions.
