Mike Tyson has shared his thoughts on a potential lightweight unification bout between Shakur Stevenson and Gervonta Davis. The former heavyweight champion finds it tough to pick a clear winner in this highly anticipated matchup.

Stevenson, the current WBC lightweight champion, recently defended his title successfully against William Zepeda in New York City. Zepeda entered the fight undefeated, making Stevenson's victory even more impressive.

On the other side, 'Tank' Davis, the 30-year-old WBA lightweight champion from Baltimore, Maryland, recently fought to a draw against Lamont Roach Jr in March. Many fans felt Davis was lucky to keep his unbeaten record intact after that bout.

Despite being on a collision course for some time, the fight between Stevenson and Davis hasn't materialized yet. Tyson shared his thoughts on this potential clash in an interview with iFL TV.

"Tough one. On record it looks like Tank's the winner. But Shakur's one of those fighters that we were talking about in the car coming up here, he is so much better than what he looks like so I'm sure when Tank gets in there it's not gonna be as easy as he anticipated."

While Tyson leans towards Davis as the potential winner based on records, he believes Stevenson's skills might surprise many, including Davis himself.

Turki Alalshikh of Riyadh Season has shown interest in making this fight happen soon, recognizing it as possibly the most intriguing style clash in the sport right now.

However, Davis' recent legal troubles might delay or even prevent this matchup from happening. He was arrested on a domestic charge in Miami last month, adding to his history of issues outside the ring. These legal problems have already put his scheduled rematch with Lamont Roach Jr in doubt, with the challenger now saying it feels unlikely to happen.

Davis' legal situation might force fans to wait longer for the Stevenson fight or miss out on it entirely. The boxing world will have to wait and see how these developments unfold and if this highly anticipated bout will come to fruition.
