A match between Canelo and De La Hoya at super-welterweight gets boxing fans talking. It's a clash between two of the sport's biggest stars from different eras.

De La Hoya, a Hall of Famer and five-weight world champion, now focuses on promoting fights. He and Canelo used to work together. Canelo was De La Hoya's top fighter for a while. They teamed up for Canelo's first two fights with Gennady Golovkin. But in 2020, things went sour. Their split involved lawsuits and harsh words in the media.

De La Hoya was known for his movement and speed in the ring. Canelo, on the other hand, likes to pressure his opponents and counter-punch. He's only lost twice in 67 fights. Since 2020, he's been unbeaten at 168 pounds.

Crawford rates De La Hoya higher than Canelo. He also thinks Floyd Mayweather and Dmitry Bivol are better. It's worth noting that Mayweather and Bivol are the only two fighters who've beaten Canelo.

Crawford and Canelo will fight on September 13 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. It's a big step up for Crawford. He's moving up two weight classes for this fight. He's been at 147 pounds since mid-2018, with just one fight at 154. Canelo has been comfortable at 168 pounds for the last four years.

Crawford, a two-time undisputed champion, will try to prove he can hang with the bigger Canelo. It's a tough test, but Crawford believes he's up for the challenge.
