Mike Tyson's got a new fight on his hands, but this time it's not in the ring. The former heavyweight champion has teamed up with startup ChaChing to take on retail giants Amazon and Google.

Tyson, known as "Iron Mike" during his boxing days, announced the partnership on Friday. He's joining forces with the retail shopping app to help working families save money on everyday purchases.

The boxing legend knows a thing or two about financial struggles. He filed for bankruptcy in 2003 but bounced back, building a booming empire in the cannabis industry and landing high-profile endorsements. His recent headline-grabbing bout with Jake Paul showed he's still got plenty of fight left in him.

Tyson explained his motivation for the partnership:

"Growing up, money was tight for my mom and me. Having an extra $500 a month would've been truly life-changing. Americans are getting hit with rising prices, making everyday life harder than ever."

ChaChing operates similarly to Amazon, Google, and Meta. The key difference? Instead of pocketing all the profits, ChaChing uses its earnings to offer consumers up to $500 in monthly savings.

Tyson's not pulling any punches when it comes to criticizing big tech companies:

"Big Tech takes a huge cut of every sale. Families need every dollar. They'll love you for giving them their money back-instead of handing it to trillion-dollar companies."

The new venture, dubbed "Price Fighter Powered by ChaChing," aims to put money back in consumers' pockets. Tyson seems pumped about his new role:

"I'm proud to introduce Price Fighter Powered by ChaChing. It's all about passing along as many savings as possible to those who need it most."

In an interview with Retail Dive's Nicole Silberstein, Tyson made it clear he's in this fight for the long haul. He's swapping his boxing gloves for a chance to help families stretch their budgets further. It looks like Iron Mike's found a new way to deliver a knockout punch – this time to high prices.
