Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents took Chavez Jr. into custody due to an active arrest warrant in Mexico. The charges against him are serious, including alleged involvement in organized crime, trafficking of firearms, ammunition, and explosives, and connections to the Sinaloa Cartel.

During the interview on TV Azteca's 'Venga la Alegria Fin de Semana' program, the elder Chavez expressed his faith in a positive outcome for his son's legal troubles.

"I believe that God's timing is perfect, sometimes we get desperate because we want everything to be resolved, especially when there are problems, and I hope in God that your brother is well and everything is fixed first God."

The situation has brought up painful memories for Chavez Sr., who faced his own battles with addiction in the past. He firmly stated he would never use drugs again, acknowledging how they had nearly destroyed him.

Chavez Jr.'s arrest has shed light on the family's complicated history. The younger boxer had previously spent time in a rehabilitation center for drug addiction. Reports also suggest he had contact with the family of notorious drug lord Chapo Guzman.

The legal implications for Chavez Jr. are significant. He faces potential deportation to Mexico to address the charges against him, which include alleged ties to the Sinaloa Cartel, a group the US has designated as a foreign terrorist organization.

As the interview concluded, Nicole tried to lighten the mood by asking her father about his happiest moment. Without hesitation, Chavez Sr. said it was the birth of his four children.

The coming weeks will likely bring more developments in this high-profile case, which has captivated many due to the Chavez family's fame in the boxing world and the alleged connections to organized crime.
