Former cruiserweight world champion Tony Bellew thinks Usyk will win again. He believes Dubois will start to doubt himself as Usyk lands more punches during the fight.
The first time these two met was in August 2023. Usyk won by stoppage in the 9th round. But there was a moment when Dubois knocked Usyk down with a body shot. The referee called it a low blow, which caused a lot of talk after the fight.
Since then, both fighters have been busy. Dubois has knocked out Jarrell Miller and Filip Hrgovic. He even beat Anthony Joshua to become the IBF champion. Usyk has had two big fights with Tyson Fury. He won both to become the undisputed heavyweight champion, though he did give up one belt.
Bellew shared his thoughts about Dubois in an interview with talkSPORT Boxing.
"Dubois knows himself how hard, how tough it is. I believe the first fight, he just, he'd had enough, and he quit, so it is what it is."
But Bellew also thinks Dubois has grown since then. He's shown he can handle tough moments in fights. Beating Joshua has given him a big boost.
"He's well in this fight, I think he's a super dangerous challenger."
The winner of this fight will have some big challenges ahead. Joseph Parker is the WBO mandatory challenger, Derek Chisora is next in line for the IBF, and Agit Kabayal is ranked number one.
This rematch is a big deal in the heavyweight division. Both fighters have a lot to prove. It's sure to be an exciting night of boxing.
