Chris Eubank Sr Delivers Blunt Verdict on Son's Future: "It's Time To..."

Eubank Jr. beat Benn by unanimous decision in April. The fight lived up to the hype of their fathers' rivalry, with Benn starting aggressively despite being the smaller man. Eubank Jr. weathered the storm and finished strong, but ended up in the hospital to recover afterward.

The fight came after a period of disagreement between father and son. Eubank Sr. had initially raised concerns about the safety of the matchup. He eventually showed up at ringside, marking a reconciliation in their relationship.

Now, Eubank Sr. is voicing his worries again. In a recent interview on his YouTube channel "Call Chris Eubank", he reflected on the dangers his son faced in the ring.

"I must remember what happened. I saw my son in a touch or go situation. Life or death. He doesn't respect it, because he's a warrior, and a warrior goes out on his shield, which he proved."

Eubank Sr. believes his son's warrior mentality could lead him to take unnecessary risks in future fights.

"He's not going to listen to the rules. If he can evade the rules, if he can somehow sidestep the rules, he will, because he's a warrior. It would be an extraordinary gift for him if he's wise enough to make the decision to walk off in the sunset."

Despite his father's concerns, Eubank Jr. seems keen to continue his career. He's expressed interest in a rematch with Benn later this year. Benn, too, is eager for another go, as per their contract.

The decision now rests with Eubank Jr. Will he heed his father's advice and prioritize his health, or will the warrior in him push for more battles in the ring? Only time will tell which path he chooses.
