This fight is a rematch. Usyk and Dubois fought two years ago in Poland. Usyk won that fight, stopping Dubois in the ninth round. But there was some controversy. Dubois went down from what some people thought was a low blow in the fifth round.
Right now, Usyk holds the WBC, WBA, and WBO titles. Dubois has the IBF belt. The winner of this fight will be the undisputed champion. If Dubois wins, he'll be the first British boxer to hold all four major heavyweight titles at once.
Martin Bakole, another heavyweight boxer, has some thoughts about the fight. He told iFL TV that he thinks Usyk will win. Bakole said:
"Usyk is a boxing man, boxing brain, boxing movement, I don't think no one will stop him right now expect Martin Bakole."
Bakole thinks Dubois won't change his style, which could be a problem. He explained:
"I know why I am saying that because I learn boxing from my brother, a southpaw, I know how to stop and cut off the ring. But Daniel Dubois doesn't."
Bakole also talked about other heavyweight boxers. He thinks Deontay Wilder is done. He said Anthony Joshua is tough but doesn't know how to cut off the ring. Bakole was surprised that Usyk beat Tyson Fury twice.
"I was expecting Usyk to get beat by 'The Gypsy King' but I was shocked he beat 'The Gypsy King' twice. Joshua is good, tough guy, but he doesn't know how to cut the ring. Daniel Dubois will never change, he will just keep his style, but Usyk is [better] than him."
Bakole made a big claim too. He said he knocked out both Usyk and Dubois in sparring sessions. But he still thinks Usyk will win the fight.
The fight is less than two months away. Usyk is seen as one of the best heavyweights of this generation. Dubois has a chance to make history. It's shaping up to be an exciting match.
