Ryan Garcia is looking for a new opponent after his recent loss to Rolly Romero. The defeat marked Garcia's second career setback and left fans wondering about his next move.

Oscar De La Hoya, Garcia's manager, has ruled out a rematch with Devin Haney. De La Hoya told Fight Hype they're not interested in that direction anymore.

"No, that's not the direction we want to go. Eh, no interest... In fact, we're looking to the future."

Garcia's last win came against Haney, where he stripped him of his title. But that victory got complicated. Garcia faced doping issues, and the fight ended up as a no-decision instead of a title defense.

The feud between the managers hasn't helped. De La Hoya and Bill Haney, Devin's father and representative, have been at odds. They nearly came to blows at a press conference in Times Square on May 2. Bill Haney even took a dig at De La Hoya on social media.

"The only thing that was filmed was Oscar De La Hoya's face full of Botox and fillers. Not a wrinkle on the Golden Girl."

De La Hoya responded by blocking Bill Haney on social media.

Despite the bad blood, Bill Haney claimed in an interview with Ariel Helwani that a rematch was in the works for October. He said he had a deal with His Excellency Turki Alalshikh. But De La Hoya's recent comments seem to contradict that.

Instead, De La Hoya hinted at a possible rematch with Rolly Romero. He explained his thinking:

"As a fighter - speaking as a fighter, not as a promoter - that's exactly what I would do, right? So I think it would be the right thing for him to do. You know, get revenge."

While Garcia's team looks ahead, Haney's camp is keeping busy. Bill Haney shared a list of potential opponents on X (formerly Twitter). The list included big names like Teofimo Lopez, Shakur Stevenson, and Gervonta Davis.

De La Hoya reposted the list on Instagram with the comment "Run Forest, run!" It was a dig at Haney's recent fight against Jose Ramirez, where some felt Haney's style was too defensive.

Commentators Jim Lampley and Tim Bradley have also weighed in. They've questioned whether Haney can bounce back from his loss to Garcia and challenge other champions.

As the boxing world waits to see what's next for both fighters, one thing's clear: a Garcia-Haney rematch isn't happening anytime soon.
