At first, they planned to fight on Friday, September 12, at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. But now they've pushed it back a day to Saturday. They also thought about New York and Los Angeles before settling on Las Vegas.
Canelo has fought as high as 175 pounds and hasn't lost at super-middleweight. He's beaten top fighters like Gennady Golovkin, Caleb Plant, Callum Smith, and Billy Joe Saunders. In May, he became a two-time undisputed champion at 168 pounds when he beat IBF champion William Scull.
Crawford has spent most of his career at 147 pounds. He's only fought above welterweight once. Last August, he won the WBA super-welterweight title by beating Israil Madrimov.
