Alvarez recently met face-to-face with Crawford and expressed his desire to fight in the United Kingdom. This comes after a visit to the UK for an event with The Ring, a publication closely tied to Turki Alalshikh, who's financially backing Alvarez for the next two years.

The undisputed super middleweight champion's last outing against William Scull didn't live up to expectations. Now, he's looking to bounce back in a big way against the undefeated Crawford (41-0) before potentially taking his talents to British shores.

One name that's come up as a possible UK opponent is Chris Eubank Jr. The International Boxing Organization middleweight world champion fights four pounds below Canelo's current weight class but has expressed interest in moving up for the challenge.

Eubank Jr. (35-3) shared his thoughts on a potential showdown with Alvarez during an appearance on the Diary of a CEO podcast:

"Then you have Canelo, which is a fight I've wanted for years and I'd love to share the ring with him"

The British fighter has his sights set on 2026 for a potential Canelo clash. Before that, Eubank Jr. wants to settle some unfinished business in the UK boxing scene.

His immediate goal is a highly anticipated bout with Conor Benn (23-1). Eubank Jr. believes the demand for this fight is at its peak and wants to capitalize on the momentum.

Looking further ahead, Eubank Jr. also has his eye on a rematch with Billy Joe Saunders (30-1). Saunders handed Eubank Jr. his first professional loss back in 2014 in a split decision. Saunders hasn't fought since his 2021 loss to Canelo, adding intrigue to a potential rematch.

As Canelo Alvarez prepares for his September showdown with Crawford, the boxing world waits to see if the UK will indeed be the next stop on his global conquest. With a mix of established champions and rising stars in the British boxing scene, there's no shortage of potential matchups to keep fans excited about Canelo's future plans.
