Khan hung up his gloves in 2022 after 17 years as a pro. He had a great career, winning an Olympic medal and becoming a super-lightweight world champion. He defended his title successfully five times.

During his time in the ring, Khan faced some of the best. He fought Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez, Terence Crawford, and beat guys like Paulie Malignaggi, Marcos Maidana, and Zab Judah. His last fight was a long-awaited all-British grudge match with Kell Brook. Khan lost that one, getting stopped in six rounds. He didn't look like the fighter he used to be.

After he retired, there was talk about Khan coming back. Some people wanted him to fight crossover stars like Jake Paul or KSI. Khan said he'd prefer to fight Manny Pacquiao and even claimed Pacquiao made him an offer.

But now, Khan's made up his mind for good. In an interview with IFL TV, he said:

"Happily retired, enjoying life. I don't want to come back. Unless there's a massive, amazing offer out there. Who knows? The only person to bring me back is Turki Alalshikh I think. I've seen all these big fights. But, to be honest with you, I think I've made my mind up – I'm just enjoying the sport now. Sitting back, not getting hit, chilling. Living life."

Khan's happy with what he's done in boxing. He said:

"What I've done in the sport, what I've achieved, and also what I've gained from the sport is fantastic. How could I top it off more? I don't think I can. I've ticked all the boxes, done everything. Let's push the promotional side now."

These days, Khan's focusing on his AK Promotions outfit. He's got a show coming up in Ghana.

A lot of boxers come back after retiring, and it can be dangerous. Fans like seeing fighters like Khan who are happy with what they've done and stay retired.
