Usyk and Fury have already fought twice. Their first match happened in May 2024. It was a big deal because the winner would become the first undisputed heavyweight champion in the four-belt era. Usyk won by split decision, even knocking Fury down in the ninth round. This fight was supposed to happen earlier, in February, but got pushed back when Fury got cut during training.

They met again in December 2024. Usyk had to give up his IBF belt to make this rematch happen. He won again, this time by unanimous decision. The BBC reported on Usyk's victory, confirming his dominance in the ring.

After these fights, Fury said he's done with boxing. But Usyk isn't finished yet. He's got a fight coming up in July against Daniel Dubois. If he wins, he'll be a two-time undisputed heavyweight champ.

Usyk says he's got two more fights left before he hangs up his gloves. When asked who he'd like to face in his last fight, he picked Fury over Anthony Joshua. He told Mail Sport in an interview:

"I'd prefer to fight Tyson Fury for my last fight. It would be a great way to end my career."

Many fans think Fury will fight Joshua soon. Joshua really wants to win that fight so he can get another shot at Usyk. They've fought twice before, in 2021 and 2022, with Usyk winning both times on points.

So, while Fury says he's retired and Joshua's eyeing a comeback, Usyk's focused on his next fight and hoping for one last dance with Fury before he calls it quits.
