Arslanbek Makhmudov (19-2, 18 KO) impresses with his size and appearance, but so far does not greatly impress the best representatives of his weight class. For this, he first needs to restore his shaky position in the rankings and reputation.

Makhmudov plans to return after his loss to Guido Vianello by technical knockout in the eighth round due to injury. The nearly two-meter giant will perform on June 27 in Montreal at an event where the main event will feature Christian Mbilli (28-0, 23 KO) against Mateusz Sulecki (33-3, 13 KO).

Makhmudov’s opponent will be the even taller Ricardo Brown (12-0, 11 KO), whose weight is nearly 120 kilograms. The Jamaican, who also lives in Canada, is a participant in the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2021 in the super heavyweight category. As a professional, he has not yet faced anyone serious, and a fight with Makhmudov looks like a significant step forward for him.

After two losses in his last three appearances, Makhmudov has dropped to 26th place in the WBC rankings.
