Jarrell Miller, who calls himself the 'most feared heavyweight,' might get a shot at Anthony Joshua in the ring. The two boxers have some unfinished business from a cancelled fight in 2019.
Joshua is taking it easy right now, recovering from a small injury. He's been on a roll lately, beating Otto Wallin, Francis Ngannou, Robert Helenius, and Jermain Franklin. These wins helped him bounce back after losing twice to Oleksandr Usyk. His last fight was in September when he stopped Daniel Dubois in five rounds.
Eddie Hearn, Joshua's promoter, talked about a possible fight with Miller:
"Yeah, the beef is real. If 'Big Baby' beats Fabio [Wardley], why not? I think AJ would love to have another fight in America. AJ will fight anyone. I think the 'Big Baby' fight is a big fight."
The two were supposed to fight in June 2019, but Miller failed a drug test. Joshua ended up fighting Andy Ruiz instead and lost by knockout. He got his titles back in a rematch in Saudi Arabia.
Miller has a big fight coming up on June 7. He'll face Fabio Wardley for the WBA interim title at Wardley's home turf in Ipswich. They've already had some heated words at their first press conference. Miller's last fight was a draw against Andy Ruiz.
Joshua wants to get back in the mix. He's looking at a rematch with Dubois and still hopes to face Tyson Fury, even though Fury is retired right now.
The boxing world will keep a close eye on Miller's next fight. If he wins, we might see him and Joshua finally settle their score in the ring.
