Mike Tyson felt sore after his recent boxing match against Jake Paul. The heavyweight legend admitted Paul punches hard following their eight-round contest.

Tyson, 58, returned to the ring after an 18-year break from professional boxing. His last pro fight was in 2005. Paul, on the other hand, came into the match with a 10-0 record and seven knockouts, mostly against former UFC fighters.

The match started with Tyson looking competitive for a short while. But his age quickly caught up with him. Paul, 27, won by unanimous decision, landing around 48 power punches throughout the fight.

After the match, Tyson spoke to Fox Sports about how he felt:

"I don't remember it, but my body, my chest, stomach and stuff was really sore. Jake punches hard. My body hurt so bad."

The match broke records, but it also stirred up controversy due to the big gap in age and activity between the two fighters.

Paul's team will announce his next move in the sport next week. He's tried to set up fights with Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez and Gervonta Davis, but those talks didn't work out. There's talk of a potential fight with Anthony Joshua, the British superstar and former two-time heavyweight world champion, possibly in 2026. For now, Paul might focus on a less well-known opponent.

Even though Paul is still new to boxing, he's become one of the most lucrative fights for potential opponents. His long-term goal is to become a real world champion.

ESPN reported that the match set new records for boxing in Las Vegas, showing just how big of a draw both Tyson and Paul are in the sport.
