Joe Calzaghe and Andre Ward, two undefeated super-middleweight champs, recently chatted about how a fight between them in their prime might have ended.

The Welsh warrior Calzaghe held the WBO title for a decade, while the American ace Ward unified the division from 2009 to 2015. Both guys hung up their gloves without a loss on their records, racking up nearly 80 wins between them.

For years, fans and experts have wondered how these two legends would've matched up in the ring. Well, they finally got together at Calzaghe's gym in Newbridge to talk it over.

At first, Calzaghe backed himself against Ward. He told Ward on his YouTube channel ALL THE SMOKE FIGHT:

"I'm a southpaw; I've got a good chin; I'm just awkward in a fight, man. I give everybody a nightmare."

But as they chatted more, Calzaghe changed his tune. He ended up saying:

"I'll tell you what, brother, let's just say [it would have been] a draw."

Ward agreed with that call.

Both guys walked away from boxing unbeaten, so we'll never see them actually square off. But everyone agrees it would've been a technical masterpiece from start to finish.
