Jake Paul and Eddie Hearn have buried the hatchet. The two boxing promoters have settled their legal dispute, with Hearn withdrawing a $100 million lawsuit against Paul.

The settlement clears the way for the two to work together on the third fight between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano, set for July 11. This eagerly awaited showdown is the result of Paul and Hearn putting aside their differences to make it happen.

The legal drama started back in 2022 when Hearn's Matchroom Boxing sued Paul's Most Valuable Promotions for defamation. Paul had stirred up controversy during an interview with iFL TV, where he accused Matchroom of paying off referee Glenn Feldman to favor their boxers on scorecards.

Paul's accusations stemmed from two contentious fights. In April 2022, Feldman scored the Taylor-Serrano bout 97-93 for Taylor, the widest margin among the judges. Then in August, Feldman was the only judge to score for Anthony Joshua in his split decision loss to Oleksandr Usyk.

Hearn didn't take kindly to these allegations and slapped Paul with a lawsuit seeking over $100 million in damages. But even with this legal cloud hanging over them, the two promoters managed to work together on the second Taylor-Serrano fight in November 2024.

Now, the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York has dismissed the case. This move opens the door for Paul and Hearn to focus fully on their upcoming collaboration.

"We're excited to put this behind us and move forward with promoting great fights," Hearn said in a statement. "Jake and I have our differences, but we both want to give fans the best matchups possible."

Paul echoed these sentiments, adding:

"Boxing is bigger than any personal beef. I'm glad Eddie and I could work this out for the good of the sport and the fighters we represent."

With the legal drama settled, all eyes turn to the upcoming Taylor-Serrano trilogy fight. Fans can expect both Paul and Hearn to pour their energy into making it a memorable event, free from the distractions of courtroom battles.
