Carl Froch thinks George Foreman could beat today's top heavyweight boxers. The former super-middleweight champion shared his opinion following Foreman's recent passing.

Froch believes Foreman would have the edge over current champions like Oleksandr Usyk, Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua, and Daniel Dubois. He shared his thoughts in an interview with talkSPORT Boxing.

"George Foreman, if he was around in the era of the heavyweights I've just mentioned there, you can forget all the other heavyweights, he'd have bashed them to bits, they wouldn't have been able to live with him. Tyson Fury would have given him a fight, the sheer size of him, but I still think he'd have done him."

Foreman, who died at 76, left a lasting impact on boxing. He's remembered for his part in the iconic Rumble in the Jungle with Muhammad Ali in 1974. He also made history as the oldest man to become world heavyweight champion at 45.

The current heavyweight scene has seen some impressive performances. Usyk became the undisputed champion in May 2022. He defended his titles with back-to-back victories over Fury and Joshua, twice, and most recently defeated Dubois in August 2023.

Usyk now holds three world titles and aims to become undisputed champion for a second time. He'll need to face IBF champion Dubois again to achieve this goal, having already beaten him by 9th round knockout in their previous bout.

Froch's bold claim sparks an interesting debate about how past champions would fare against today's top fighters. It highlights the enduring legacy of boxers like Foreman and keeps fans wondering about these hypothetical matchups across different eras.
