Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn are getting ready for a big fight, and former champ Josh Taylor thinks Eubank might have a slight edge.

These two have been on a collision course for a while now. Their dads were rivals back in the day, and that beef has carried over to the next generation. They were supposed to fight last October, but it fell through when Benn tested positive for a banned substance.

Benn said he didn't do anything wrong and got cleared to fight again late last year. He's had two fights in the US since then, winning both on points against some lesser-known guys. Eubank, on the other hand, has been busier. He got stopped for the first time by Liam Smith, but then knocked Smith out in the rematch. He also got a KO win over Kamil Szeremeta last October.

Things got heated at their first press conference when Eubank slapped an egg in Benn's face. It didn't stop there. When they appeared on Piers Morgan's show, Benn had to be held back from going after Eubank.

Josh Taylor, who used to be the undisputed champ at light-welterweight, shared his thoughts on the fight:

"I'm not sure you know, I'm kinda half on the fence. I think Eubank has been in with better opposition, he's only lost to the top guys in the world so yeh he's been tested and proven at world level a couple of times so I'm edging towards Eubank but the edge and freshness is with Benn."

One big talking point is the weight. Eubank is naturally bigger and has fought as high as super middleweight. Benn is usually a welterweight but will have to come up to 160lbs for this fight. There's also a rehydration clause limiting how much weight Eubank can put on after the weigh-in.

Taylor had something to say about that too:

"I think that's a little bit heavy, I don't know how much Eubank puts on after the weight in, to limit him to 10lbs, again, it is what it is. If it was for the IBF title that's why it would be so he can't grumble too much."

It's shaping up to be an interesting fight with a lot of history behind it. We'll have to wait and see if Taylor's prediction comes true.
