Oscar De La Hoya, the former boxing champion and successful promoter, is enjoying a work trip to Mexico with his girlfriend Holly Sonders. The couple has shared intimate details and videos of their beach vacation, combining business with pleasure.

De La Hoya, now 52, looks to be in great shape, showing off his six-pack abs in recent beach photos. The man known as "The Golden Boy" during his fighting days has kept himself fit long after hanging up the gloves. He's been dating Sonders, a 38-year-old former sports broadcaster, since June 2021.

Sonders posted a video of their trip on social media, giving fans a glimpse into their Mexican getaway. She wrote:

"Heading back to Mexico, work trip this time! Can't tell you how many times we've talked about moving to Mexico, we love it so much. Feels like home. Here's 1 minute of the 60 hours of videos I have in my phone from our Mexican memories. on, and we are old AF but still got them abs."

The video shows De La Hoya wearing Speedos and dancing to a Latin groove song, clearly enjoying his time off.

But it's not all play for the boxing legend. De La Hoya's company, Golden Boy Promotions, has a big event coming up in Cancun on March 29th. The main event features a rematch between William Zepeda and Tevin Farmer for the interim WBC lightweight title.

Their first fight was a close affair, with Zepeda winning by split decision despite hitting the canvas and suffering a hand injury. Zepeda, sporting a perfect 32-0 record with 27 knockouts, will face off against Farmer, who's proven he's got plenty left in the tank at 33-7-1.

De La Hoya expressed his excitement about the upcoming bout to Golden Boy:

"I thought the first fight was terrific. It was incredible."

The promoter expects another great fight and wouldn't be surprised to see a knockout this time around.

De La Hoya's journey from boxer to promoter has been impressive. After retiring from the ring in 2009 with six world titles across different weight classes, he's built Golden Boy Promotions into one of the most influential companies in boxing.

As De La Hoya wraps up his "work honey" in Mexico, fans can look forward to the Zepeda-Farmer rematch and wonder if we'll see more beach dance videos from the Golden Boy himself.
