Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn are finally getting ready to step into the ring together. The two boxers will face off on April 26 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, after a long and bumpy road to make this fight happen.

The match was originally set for October 2022, but got called off when Benn failed a drugs test. This led to a drawn-out saga involving Benn, the British Boxing Board of Control, and UK Anti-Doping.

Things got heated at a recent press conference when Eubank Jr smashed an egg over Benn's head. The British Boxing Board of Control didn't find this funny and slapped Eubank Jr with a £100,000 fine. Eubank Jr didn't seem too bothered, though. He posted on social media, saying it was "Worth every penny."

The egg incident wasn't the only drama at the press conference. Conor's dad, Nigel Benn, got involved too, putting his hands around Eubank Jr's throat at one point.

The egg smashing seems to be Eubank Jr's way of poking fun at Benn's explanation for his failed drug test. Back in October 2022, Benn suggested that eating too many eggs might have caused the positive result. Eubank Jr clearly wasn't buying that story.

With the fight now just over a month away, both boxers will need to focus on their training. Former world champion George Groves, who has fought Eubank Jr before, has given his thoughts on how the bout might go.

The build-up to this fight has been anything but smooth, but fans will hope that when the bell rings, all the drama will have been worth it.
