Interestingly, the categories chosen are entirely consistent with those in the White-led UFC, though it's unknown if the weight limits for the individual categories will be the same.

Suggested weights:

Lightest weight (UFC limit 56.7 kg)

Lightest (61.2 kg)

Semi-Lightweight (65.8 kg)

Lightweight (70.3 kg)

Welterweight (77.1 kg)

Middleweight (83.9 kg)

Welterweight (93.0 kg)

Heavyweight (120.2 kg)

There are currently 17 weight classes recognized in professional boxing by all four major federations. Recently, the WBC and WBA have introduced an 18th category, the "bridger" weight. It is worth noting that if UFC weight classes were used in boxing, the 6 lower categories would disappear and, for example, Naoya Inoue, who currently boasts of winning championship belts in four weight classes, would only have a chance to become champion in one.
