Canelo Alvarez will knock out Terence Crawford in their upcoming fight. That's what Mexican boxing legend Juan Manuel Marquez thinks.
The two champions are set to face off in Las Vegas this September. Canelo's unified WBC, WBA and WBO super middleweight titles will be on the line.
Marquez shared his thoughts on social media.
"I think it's a dangerous fight for Terence Crawford. Maybe yes, Canelo wins by knockout."
Canelo, the 34-year-old from Guadalajara, Mexico, has a big fight coming up first. He'll take on William Scull for the IBF super middleweight title on May 3 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. If he wins, he'll become a two-time undisputed champion at 168lbs.
Crawford, known as 'Bud', is 37 and hails from Omaha, Nebraska. He's won world titles in four weight divisions. His last fight was in August last year at 154lbs. He beat Israil Madrimov to win the WBA title, but his performance wasn't his best.
Up until last July, Canelo held all four world titles at super middleweight. He lost the IBF belt when he chose to fight Edgar Berlanga Jr instead of mandatory challenger William Scull. Scull then captured the vacant title by beating Vladimir Shishkin in October.
We're waiting for the official announcement of Canelo vs Crawford in the coming weeks. If Canelo beats Scull in May, all four super middleweight world titles could be up for grabs in September.
