Ryan Garcia Reveals Surprising Pick for Davis-Stevenson Clash: "It's Not Even Close"

"Gervonta beats shakur," Garcia wrote on April 27, weighing in on one of boxing's most talked-about potential matchups.

Davis, known as 'Tank', holds the WBA lightweight title and boasts an impressive record of 30 wins with 28 knockouts. He's taken down tough opponents like Isaac Cruz, Mario Barrios, and Yuriorkis Gamboa. Many consider Davis the hardest pound-for-pound puncher in the sport.

On the other side, Stevenson owns the WBC lightweight belt and remains undefeated. He's shown his skills against Jamel Herring, Oscar Valdez, and Edwin De Los Santos. Stevenson's style relies on excellent defense and movement.

The fight would pit Davis' knockout power against Stevenson's evasive skills. But before they can face each other, both champions have other business to handle.

Stevenson will defend his title against Floyd Schofield on February 22 in Saudi Arabia. Davis is set to face Lamont Roach Jr in Brooklyn for his own title defense.

Even if both fighters win their upcoming bouts, making the unification happen might not be easy. Past attempts to negotiate the fight have fallen through. Davis has also said he plans to retire from boxing at the end of the year, which could add pressure to get the deal done.

For now, fans will have to wait and see if this dream matchup comes together. But if it does, Garcia thinks Davis has what it takes to hand Stevenson his first loss.
