Oleksandr Usyk Names The One Heavyweight Who Could Outclass Him: "He's Different"

The rematch, which took place after Usyk vacated his IBF belt to make it happen, saw twelve close and technical rounds. This victory follows their first encounter in May, where Usyk won via split decision and notably wobbled Fury in the ninth round.

At 37 years old, Usyk's resume is impressive. He's not only the undisputed heavyweight champion but also a former undisputed cruiserweight champion and Olympic gold medalist. His list of notable wins includes two victories each over Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, as well as wins against Derek Chisora and Daniel Dubois.

The nail-biting rematch saw Usyk outpoint Fury once again, leaving no doubt about his dominance in the division.

During the post-fight press conference, Usyk showed a rare burst of confidence. When asked if there was any heavyweight in history who could beat him, he replied:

"Yeah. It's Oleksandr Usyk."

This statement contrasts with Usyk's usual modesty. Earlier in the week, he didn't even include himself on his list of best pound-for-pound fighters.

Famed trainer and analyst Teddy Atlas shared his thoughts on Usyk's dominance:

"The only thing that can beat him is Father Time."

Despite his success, many feel Usyk should consider retirement at 37. However, new IBF Champion Daniel Dubois is demanding a rematch, to which Usyk has agreed. But some question whether it's worth the risk for the Ukrainian champion.

As for the heavyweight division's future, fans expect Fury and Joshua to start talks for their long-awaited battle of Britain. This fight could reshape the landscape of heavyweight boxing once again.

Usyk's rise to the top of the heavyweight division has been nothing short of remarkable. His technical skills, combined with his experience as a cruiserweight, have allowed him to outmaneuver larger opponents consistently. As he continues to dominate, the question remains: who, if anyone, can challenge Oleksandr Usyk's reign as the king of the heavyweights?
