Mayweather won the fight by TKO in the 10th round. It was his 50th win, capping off an undefeated career. For McGregor, it was his first pro boxing match.

Early on, McGregor put pressure on Mayweather and made the fight look close. But Mayweather's famous defense held up well. As the fight went on, McGregor got tired and Mayweather's counters started to take their toll.

After the fight, Mayweather gave his thoughts on McGregor's punching power:

"As far as his punching power – he's solid. I've felt it before, so that's why I kept coming straight ahead. Obviously, it wasn't the type of power to say, 'I can't come forward.' Because if it were that type of power, I wouldn't have come forward."

The fight made a ton of money. Reports say both fighters earned hundreds of millions of dollars. It was billed as the biggest event in combat sports history.

This matchup brought crossover contests to the big stage. But there are worries about MMA fighters moving to boxing. Their punching technique might not work as well with bigger gloves.

McGregor's now looking at his next fight. He says he'll face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India. McGregor wrote on social media:

"The rumours of a bout with [Ilia] Topurio are false. I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India. I have agreed. I will then seek my return to the Octagon."

Logan Paul is a YouTuber who's done some boxing and WWE. He's fought Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition before. Paul also lost to KSI on points and beat Dillon Danis, who used to train with McGregor.

McGregor's been in the news lately for things outside of fighting. This potential bout with Paul could bring him back into the ring.
