Evander Holyfield has changed his mind about a third fight with Mike Tyson. The former heavyweight champ now agrees with Tyson that they shouldn't step into the ring again.

Holyfield and Tyson have a long history. They first fought in 1996 when Tyson was defending his WBA heavyweight title. Holyfield caused a big upset, stopping Tyson in the 11th round. Their rematch in 1997 ended in controversy when Tyson was disqualified for biting Holyfield's ear in the third round.

Recently, Tyson returned to the ring against YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul. The 58-year-old Tyson couldn't get the win, and many fans found it hard to watch.

After that fight, Holyfield said he wanted a third bout with Tyson. But Tyson quickly said no, saying they're friends now.

Now, Holyfield has changed his tune. He posted on social media that he agrees with Tyson's decision. Here's what he said:

"After years of talkin' about it, one last dance might've been nice… but Mike's right—the trilogy is our friendship and respect. We've both punched our way to greatness, but it's the respect we've earned that keeps the fight alive. The fans have spoken—no need for gloves to keep this friendship strong!"

It looks like these two boxing legends will keep their rivalry in the past. They've both moved on to other things. Holyfield has even been talking about how he thinks a prime Mike Tyson would do against current heavyweight champ Tyson Fury.
