Jake Paul beat Mike Tyson in a big boxing match in Texas. The fight went all eight rounds, and Paul won by unanimous decision.
The event broke records, but the main fight didn't live up to the hype. Some people, including Hall of Famer Oscar De La Hoya, said the fight looked fake or scripted.
Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) didn't like these claims. They put out a statement saying:
"Rigging a professional boxing match is a federal crime in the USA. The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations sanctioned this match. Both fighters did their best. There were no rules stopping either fighter from doing what they wanted. It's insulting to the fighters and the sport to say they didn't try their hardest."
Nakisa Bidarian, who helped start MVP, added more thoughts:
"Jake Paul has dealt with doubters before. These claims about cheating are kind of a compliment. Paul keeps proving himself and breaking records. This event had more people watching and attending than ever before. The doubt just makes Paul work harder and do even better."
Paul came from outside the boxing world but has done a lot in a short time. Now he's thinking about what to do next. World champions like Gilberto Ramirez, Artur Beterbiev, and Daniel Dubois have offered to fight him.
This event was big for another reason too. It was the first time the world's biggest streaming service showed live professional sports. MVP hopes to work with them more in the future.
Paul said he was happy to welcome Tyson back to the ring. Tyson is 58 years old, while Paul is only 27.
The age difference and the claims about the fight being fake have got people talking. But MVP and Paul say everything was real and fair. They're proud of what they've achieved and are looking forward to more big events in the future.
