Former world champion Paul Malignaggi is not convinced that Tyson Fury's physical condition will allow him to win a rematch with WBA, WBO and WBC heavyweight titleholder Oleksandr Usyk.
"I definitely think Fury realizes that this is a fight he has to win. He's in his 30s and he's coming back from a huge defeat. Even though it was a split decision defeat, if he loses again he'll be amongst a bunch of super heavyweights with some dangerous fights. But does he really want to be in that pile at this stage of life when you've made your money and feel comfortable? He's at a stage where it's hard to recover at this age.
I believe Fury may have the psychology present that he has always shown when it comes to needing to be extremely focused. My question is how he feels physically at this age. Sometimes your head wants to be in the ring, but your body at a certain age can't anymore," Malignaggi told ProBox TV.
Recall that the rematch of Usyk with Fury will take place on December 21 in Saudi Arabia.
