After the bout, Tyson shared his thoughts on social media. The 58-year-old former heavyweight champion spoke highly of his younger opponent, describing Paul as "talented."

This is one of those situations when you lost but still won. I'm grateful for last night. No regrets to get in ring one last time. I almost died in June. Had 8 blood transfusions. Lost half my blood and 25lbs in hospital and had to fight to get healthy to fight so I won. To have my children see me stand toe to toe and finish 8 rounds with a talented fighter half my age in front of a packed Dallas Cowboy stadium is an experience that no man has the right to ask for. Thank you

Tyson's journey to the ring wasn't easy. In June 2023, he faced severe health issues, losing half his blood and requiring eight transfusions. He dropped 25 pounds during his hospital stay and had to work hard to get back in shape for the fight.

The match lasted eight two-minute rounds. Judges scored the fight 80-72, 79-73, and 79-73 in Paul's favor. At 58, Tyson struggled to show the elite qualities that made him a feared heavyweight in his prime.

Paul, known as "The Problem Child," improved his professional record to 11 wins and 1 loss, with 7 knockouts. The 27-year-old YouTuber-turned-boxer has previously beaten Anderson Silva, Nate Diaz, Ryan Bourland, and Andre August. His only loss came against Tommy Fury in February 2023.

The fight between Tyson and Paul was initially announced in March 2023 for a July 2023 date. They had to postpone due to a flare-up of Tyson's ulcer.

While some fans didn't find the fight particularly memorable, it's opened up new possibilities for Paul. World champion knockout artist Artur Beterbiev has expressed interest in defending his title against the young boxer.

For Tyson, the fight was more than just a competition. He valued the experience of sharing the ring with a younger opponent and having his children witness the event. Despite the loss, "Iron Mike" feels he won in other ways, grateful for the opportunity to step into the ring one last time.
