Former Champ's Succinct Take on Paul-Tyson Bout: "Age Is Undefeated"

Paul, who started as a YouTuber and became a boxer, faced off against 58-year-old Tyson, once known as the 'Baddest Man On The Planet'. The event made history as the first boxing match to be shown live on Netflix.

Tyson stepped into the ring professionally for the first time since 2005, raising concerns about his return at such an advanced age. The fight was originally set for July 2024 but got pushed back due to Tyson having problems with an ulcer.

The match went the full distance, with all three judges scoring in favor of Paul. Two judges had it 79-73, while one saw it as a wider 80-72 victory for the younger fighter. Tyson wore knee support and couldn't show the fierce style he was once famous for.

Lennox Lewis, who used to fight Tyson and is now his friend, watched the match. Lewis beat Tyson back in 2002 when he was the undisputed heavyweight champion. After the fight, Lewis told ESNews:

"Glad nobody got knocked out."

Following the match, Tyson hinted he might fight again. But Terence Crawford, currently considered the best boxer pound-for-pound, quickly shot down that idea.

The fight got a lot of attention when it was first announced in March 2024. Many people worried about Tyson getting back in the ring at 58 years old. Despite these concerns, the event went ahead and made boxing history on Netflix.
