Amir Khan Reveals 'Unbeatable' Fighter's Identity: "He's On Another Level"

Amir Khan has given a glowing review of Artur Beterbiev after watching him beat Dmitry Bivol. The retired boxer and former unified world champion called Beterbiev "unbeatable" and "an animal" following the fight.

Khan, who hung up his gloves in 2022 after a loss to Kell Brook, knows a thing or two about big fights. He's got wins over Marcos Maidana, Paulie Malignaggi, Zab Judah, and Marco Antonio Barrera under his belt.

Beterbiev became the undisputed light heavyweight champion by beating Bivol. Khan shared his thoughts on the fight in an interview with Pro Boxing Fans.

"It was an amazing fight. Both fighters fought out of their skin. Big shots were landing and getting defended. One thing I can say, it's the first fight I've seen Beterbiev fight. What a beast he is."

Khan admitted he thought Bivol would win before the fight. But Beterbiev's performance changed his mind completely.

"I thought Bivol was going to win this fight, but after watching this fight and seeing how Beterbiev fought, there's nobody beating him. The guy was punch perfect. A great defence, very strong, and hits hard with both hands."

The physical toll of the fight was clear to Khan. He noted how marked up Bivol looked compared to Beterbiev.

"You can see how marked up Bivol was, but there's no marks on Beterbiev's face, this guy is an animal."

Khan broke down his own scoring of the fight. He had it even after eight rounds and still level at 5-5 after ten. But Beterbiev's pressure in the championship rounds made the difference.

"Bivol won a lot of the rounds. Up to round 8 I had it even. Round 10 it was still even 5-5, but the last two rounds, the championship rounds, Bivol was on the back foot and Beterbiev put the pressure on,"

The fight has sparked a lot of debate about the scoring. Some think Bivol did enough to win, while others felt Beterbiev's aggression was more effective. Bivol's team has asked all four sanctioning bodies for an immediate rematch.
