Hasim Rahman Issues Bold Challenge to Mike Tyson: "I'll Show Him Real Power"

Mike Tyson and Jake Paul will face off in a boxing match on November 15 at AT&T; stadium in Texas. The fight will be broadcast on Netflix, marking Tyson's first professional bout in over twenty years and Paul's latest venture as a YouTuber-turned-boxer.

The match was originally set for July but got pushed back. Tyson, now 58, had to postpone due to an ulcer flare-up. He shared his thoughts on the delay:

"I want to thank my fans around the world for their support and understanding during this time. Unfortunately, due to my ulcer flareup, I have been advised by my doctor to lighten my training for a few weeks to rest and recover. My body is in better overall shape than it has been since the 1990s and I will be back to my full training schedule soon. Jake Paul, this may have bought you some time, but in the end you will still be knocked out and out of boxing for good. I appreciate everyone's patience and can't wait to deliver an unforgettable performance later this year."

Tyson's medical team advised him to take it easy for a few weeks, leading to the new November date.

While Tyson prepares for his comeback, another heavyweight legend has thrown his hat in the ring. Hasim Rahman, the former two-time heavyweight champion, wants a piece of Tyson after the Paul fight.

Rahman made waves in 2001 when he knocked out Lennox Lewis in the fifth round, pulling off one of the biggest upsets in heavyweight history. He briefly held the WBC, IBF, and IBO titles before losing them back to Lewis in an immediate rematch.

Now, Rahman has his sights set on Tyson. In a recent interview with FightHype, he said:

"No doubt, there is only one name that comes to mind and that's Mike Tyson. That's just one of the only fights that I didn't get to fight in my era. I was supposed to fight Mike Tyson but it didn't work out that way but I'm still hoping for the fight, yeah, I'm still hoping for the fight, Mike! So when you finish with Jake, when he's finished with 'Fake Paul' then I'm available. I think it would still be a great fight, I'm in terrific shape, so let's see how Mike do with Jake and I'm available."

Rahman claims he's in "terrific shape" and ready to go if Tyson wants to keep fighting after the Paul bout. For now, all eyes are on the November 15 showdown between the boxing legend and the social media star.
