Derevyanchenko has picked the next opponent for Alvarez

Former middleweight title challenger Sergiy Derevyanchenko believes WBA, WBO and WBC middleweight champion Saul Alvarez could rematch Caleb Plant after his win over Edgar Berlanga.

"I don't know who I want to see as Canelo's next opponent. Maybe Crawford is too small. I don't know. I liked Caleb Plant. He's very good. Maybe they will have a rematch," - said Derevyanchenko in an interview with YouTube channel Fight Hub TV.

Recall that on September 14, Alvarez defeated Berlanga by unanimous decision of judges in the main event of the evening of boxing in Las Vegas. In the undercard of this fight, Plante defeated Trevor McCamby by technical knockout in the ninth round.

In November 2021, Alvarez defeated Plante by TKO in the 11th round in a fight for the absolute world title in the second middleweight division.
