Trevor McCumby (28-0, 21 KOs) has an impressive record, but he hasn't faced any serious opponents yet. The toughest test of his career comes tomorrow night against Caleb Plant (22-2, 13 KOs).

"In this game, it's crucial to learn the boxing of the best. My focus is on Andre Ward, who has become a friend over time and has helped me every time I've asked for his help. McCumbee will step into the big ring when he fights me, and this time he will face a real fighter. So far he's only faced 'waiters' and losers. Now he will see the difference," said Plante, a former world super middleweight champion in 2019/21 who has successfully defended the IBF belt three times.

"You're a very emotional guy and you let people get in your head too easily. On Saturday you'll see what I'm really good at and what I'm capable of. I'm going to surprise everyone," McCumby responded to this.

Recall that in the main fight of the upcoming evening in Las Vegas, Saul Alvarez (61-2-2, 39 KOs) will defend the WBC and WBO super middleweight belts against Edgar Berlanga (22-0, 17 KOs). Earlier, Erislandy Lara (30-3-3, 18 KOs) will defend the WBA middleweight title against Danny Garcia (37-3, 21 KOs).
