Jaron 'Boots' Ennis Reveals Who He Thinks Wins Canelo-Benavidez: "He's Hungry"

Canelo currently holds three super middleweight belts. He's getting ready to face Edgar Berlanga on September 14. The Mexican superstar recently lost his IBF belt after being stripped.

Benavidez, known as 'El Monstruo', has made some big moves lately. The former two-time super middleweight champion moved up to light heavyweight. He beat Oleksandr Gvozdyk and earned an interim title. This win also made him the mandatory challenger for the undisputed light heavyweight champion.

For a while now, fans have been eager to see Canelo and Benavidez face off. Benavidez has been trying to get this fight for a long time. Canelo, on the other hand, has set a high price tag and hasn't seemed too interested. But he's said he'll take the fight if the money's right.

Ennis shared his thoughts on this potential matchup. In an interview with FightHub TV, he said:

"That's a great fight, that's a 50-50 fight, I definitely think 'Canelo' still got it, but Benavidez is a young and hungry champ so I don't know it's like 50-50."

Later, in a separate interview with Thaboxingvoice, Ennis leaned slightly towards Benavidez:

"I think I'm gonna lean towards Benavidez. He just too much of a bully. Canelo kinda small."
