Mike Tyson Teases Mystery Opponent After Jake Paul Bout: "It'll Be Legendary"

Mike Tyson and Jake Paul haven't even stepped into the ring yet, but "Iron Mike" is already talking about a potential rematch.

The former heavyweight champion will face the YouTuber-turned-boxer in a bout that's got everyone talking. Tyson, who's nearly 60, will make his comeback against Paul, who's got 9 wins in 11 fights.

Tyson's last professional fight was over 20 years ago. He lost to heavyweight fighters he probably would've knocked out in his prime. His most recent appearance in the ring was an exhibition match with Roy Jones Jr. in 2022.

Paul, on the other hand, has been busy. He's had 11 fights so far, mostly against retired MMA fighters. His only loss came from Tommy Fury, a more experienced boxer. Now, Paul's got his sights set on a world title and is chasing big, money-making spectacles.

The upcoming Tyson-Paul fight has already been postponed once for medical reasons. It's got the boxing world split down the middle, with many worried about Tyson's safety given the age gap.

But Tyson's not backing down. In a recent chat on the IMPAULSIVE podcast, he sounded confident about beating Paul:

"There is no patty-cake going on out there. This is what's going to happen – two men are going to fight, somebody is going to win, they might fight again, and then they go to their separate banks and life goes on."

Paul's no stranger to rematches. He beat Tyron Woodley twice, winning by decision in the first fight and knockout in the second. He's also been pushing for another go at Tommy Fury, but Fury's reportedly turned it down.

The Tyson-Paul fight is still months away. While we wait, you can check out more details about the upcoming match here.
