Former WBA World light middleweight champion Israil Madrimov summarized the results of his fight with Terence Crawford.
"I feel good and I think I can be proud of myself, as Eddie Hearn said. Crawford is really a very good fighter. He's the best regardless of weight class. You can't call him an easy opponent. Terence has knocked out his last 10 opponents including Spence and others.
I can't say it was my toughest fight of my career. There are questions about how he won that belt. In my last fight when I fought for the title, I won the title easily. I showed then why I was worthy of being champion. I feel good about myself. I don't have any doubts about myself," Madrimov said at the press conference.
Madrimov lost to Crawford by unanimous judges' decision (116-112, 115-113, 115-113) last weekend at Boxing Night in Los Angeles.
