Gvozdik: "I can't call Benavides a puncher."

Former flyweight world champion Oleksandr Gvozdyk shared his opinion on the punching power of his latest opponent David Benavides.

"In the welterweight category you feel all the punches, so of course it's unpleasant. But I can't call Benavides a puncher. He knocks people out thanks to speed and marksmanship, not strength. What was the most uncomfortable thing about your opponent's actions? Continuing with the first question, it's the speed of his hands. Many episodes where I looked stiff were due to this. It took me half of the fight to solve this issue, while I adjusted," - said Gvozdik.

Recall that on June 16, Gvozdik lost to Benavides by unanimous decision of the judges. At stake was a temporary WBC belt in the flyweight division.
