Lewis urged Wilder to end his career

Former overall world heavyweight boxing champion Lennox Lewis believes that former WBC belt holder Deontay Wilder should hang up his gloves after two straight defeats.

Yesterday, June 1, the 38-year-old veteran was knocked out by Zhang Zhilei on Boxing Night in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

"Deontay Wilder told us before the fight that he would end his career if he didn't win. I think it's a wise decision. He's done even more than build a life where he can take care of his daughter. So before he suffers more damage, it's best to leave the game with him unscathed because boxing is far from the end of life," Lewis wrote in X.
