Former world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder believes he lost his fight against Joseph Parker because of his extended downtime.
"I could say a lot of things, but I don't want to make excuses because even when you're honest about certain things, people say they're excuses. One of the things that went wrong was my downtime.
I hadn't fought in two years. I didn't even notice I was gone that long because I was doing certain things. Plus, I couldn't pull the trigger when the time was right. So it's a different time and a different moment," said Wilder.
Recall that last December Wilder lost to Parker by unanimous decision of judges in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
