Former Bellator and ONE champion Ben Askren explained why Conor McGregor won't stop making harsh comments towards Khabib Nurmagomedov despite the fact that more than five years have passed since their fight.

"Even when Conor is 80 years old, he'll be teasing Khabib. It's clear, McGregor is jealous of him! There's no doubt about it. He has all the money in the world, but deep down he dreams of becoming the most respected champion on planet Earth. No amount of money can replace the status that Khabib has.

Khabib is a champion who is respected immensely by everyone for his lifestyle, and Conor wants the same respect. But he's too caught up in drugs and can't control himself," Askren said in an interview with Funky and The Champ.

Recall that in October 2018, Nurmagomedov defeated McGregor with a fourth-round submision.
