Makhachev explained why he doesn't want to fight Gamrot right now

Islam Makhachev, UFC lightweight champion, explained why he doesn't want to fight Polish lightweight Mateusz Gamrot right now.

"Yes, Gamrot is a good fighter, but he needs to win a couple more fights. Because personally, I was going on a 10-fight win streak before getting a title fight. And Gamrot lost to Dariush," Makhachev said in an interview with Weighing In.

Makhachev's next fight will be against Dustin Porier. The fight will take place on June 1 and will headline the promotion's 302nd tournament.
