Former world champion Paul Malignaggi believes that Shakur Stevenson will now be able to defeat Vasyl Lomachenko.
"For Lomachenko, perhaps, everything will end with a fight against Stevenson. There are no other options. This time Shakur will get the bout with Lomachenko. He's going to get that fight. I think Shakur is the modern day Lomachenko in the sense that nobody wants to deal with him. Nobody wants to fight him. Everybody makes excuses why they shouldn't fight him.
I don't think Lomachenko can beat Stevenson. Everyone has their time and days and then you get a little older. Also, Stevenson is a guy on the rise.
I don't think Stevenson gets enough love because he's the best in those weight classes. I think that if they get matched up with Lomachenko, it will be a changing of the guard, where Stevenson will beat Vasyl and move on to bigger and better things," Malignaggi said in a release on his YouTube channel.
Recall that last weekend Lomachenko knocked out George Cambososos and won the IBF lightweight vacnate title.
