Jai Opetaia, former world featherweight champion, has spoken out about his upcoming fight with Mairis Briedis, a similarly former cruiserweight world champion.
"Will Briedis' downtime have an impact? To tell you the truth, I don't even think about it. I'm not thinking about him. I'm preparing for the best version of Briedis. And I don't take him lightly. I expect him to come out guns blazing, and that's why I've been training really hard. We're just focused on our training and our performance," - quoted by BoxingScene.
Recall, the fight between Opetaia and Briedis will be held on May 18 in Riyadh. At stake in this fight will be the vacant IBF world championship belt.
