Tsarukyan: "If Khabib was pushing me, I would have fought for the title a long time ago"

Arman Tsarukyan, a top UFC lightweight, said that if he represented the team of the organization's former lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, he would have fought for the title a long time ago.

"The opposition that Islam had before the belt and the one I'm going through now are two different things. You can't forget who is behind Islam - and who is behind me. If I was pushed by Khabib Nurmagomedov, I would also already after Beneil Dariush for the title fight," - said the fighter.

Recall that on April 14, within the framework of the 300th anniversary UFC tournament Arman Tsarukyan won a split decision of judges against former UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira.
