Cormier: "Pereira doesn't understand anything about wrestling, but he has a unique skill set"

Former UFC two-weight champion, commentator and analyst Daniel Cormier has spoken out about the success of former kickboxing star Alex Pereira, who also managed to win two titles in the world's largest MMA organization.

"How was he able to do all this? With all due respect to Alex, but he doesn't know how to fight at all. He just doesn't know how to fight - when he gets his leg grabbed, he just falls to the ground.

He doesn't understand anything about wrestling at all, but he has a unique skill set that is so good that it doesn't matter what it is that he doesn't know how to do. Pereira is so good at what he does that he has become the best in the world. He's had tremendous success for someone who can't fight," Cormier said on ESPN.

Recall that last weekend in the main event of UFC 300 in Las Vegas, USA, Pereira made the first defense of the flyweight belt, knocking out Jamal Hill.
