According to promoter Eddie Hearn, the world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (21-0, 20 KOs) will fight next on September 22 against the mandatory challenger for one of his titles Alexander Povetkin (34-1, 24 KOs). WBC super featherweight champion Miguel Berchelt (34-1, 30 KOs) scored a TKO victory in the third round over the former world champion Victor Barros (41-6-1, 22 KOs) in the main event of the evening in Merida, Mexico. At the end of the second round Berchelt sent Barros to the floor with left hook, and again in the third round. Former middleweight contender Martin Murray (37-4-1, 17 KOs) scored a unanimous decision over Roberto Garcia (41-4, 24 KOs) and took away his WBC silver title in the main event of the evening at O2 arena in London. It was a very dirty fight. In the second and ninth rounds referee Hector Afu deducted points from Garcia. The scores were: 116-111, 118-109 and 118-108.

In the main event of the evening in Glasgow, Scotland, local favorite Josh Taylor (13-0, 11 KOs) scored the most significant victory in his career to date, winning by unanimous decision over the former world champion Victor Postol (29-2, 12 KOs) from Ukraine. In the tenth round Postol was down after the left hook to the head. The scores were 118-110, 117-110 and 119-108.
